Stroblist Boot Camp
Preparation
We had one week to prepare and exicute our entries. I was busy finishing editing a wedding I had done the week before, so I thought I would chance and save my project till Friday, the day before the project was due. I planned, drew, and even found the perfect location. Diagrams and ideas flowed through my head. I knew what I was going to do... the only problem?? The forecast said it was going to rain. RAIN! And my project was going to be taken outdoors.
My Beloved's and I wedding anniversary is next Friday, and in honor of the five wonderful years, I thought a picnic would be a great food picture shot to take. On Tuesday I found a nice little grove of pine trees at Centennial park, and I could not get them out of my head. It knew it was the perfect location.
I practiced Thursday night with different setups. I did not want to go into this blind. I even took pictures on my mini camera so that I could get an idea of what it would look like.
The Big Day
I woke up early Friday morning. A young lady came over to help me watch the kids so I could focus taking the pictures and not worry about what the kidos were doing.
I looked at the radar and I saw on the other side of Illinois, this big, gigantic wall of green coming our way. I knew, I had to get to the park... fast.
I found a tree and set up my flash using some string. I put my cheap flash up there, even though it only has two settings. I hope to replace that silly flash someday....

All in all, it never rained till Saturday morning. But I got my project done, and then got to taste the cake! Yummy.
